I called Smile Asian Massage in Austin TX. I was informed that they were open for business with no wait. I arrived at Smile Asian Massage 30 min later. I walked in to the front lobby where I was greeted by a lady that looked at me with disdain, and asked may I help you. I answered yes ma'am I just called about getting a 90 min massage. She tells me that she doesn't have time for a 90 min massage. I replied that I had just spoken to someone that told me otherwise. The lady them proceeds to tell me, well you pay first. I was like I've never in my life, have paid in advance for a massage. At this point I could immediately tell that I was being discriminated against, because I am BLACK. I polity told her no thanks and that I will gladly spend my money elsewhere. I am a BLACK business owner in the Austin area and have hardly ever experience this type of treatment, especially coming from other minorities.
