I really wanted to like this place but it was just so disappointing. I’m all about hole in the wall massage places, I find they usually do a better job for a more reasonable price. I don’t need a fancy spa or a masseuse who speaks perfect English, as long as the massage pressure is strong and the price is fair I’m happy. This place was none of that. The pricing chart stated a 1 hour massage is $60 but that’s only for light pressure. Or you can get a deep tissue for $120/hr. The other option is a combo massage for $80/hr. I should have left then but I was so tense and needed a massage, so I went for the combo despite the high price. I’d expect it to be part Thai, so mainly rubbing and stretching, and part deep tissue, working on knots and sore spots- it was just an hour of rubbing my muscles with a medium-low amount of pressure. I’ve been to Thailand many times and am a huge fan of Thai massages, this was nothing like that. Then afterward she brought back my receipt (I had paid before) and she asked me to increase my tip…I actually started laughing I could not believe it! I had tipped 20% which is very standard, and honestly I typically tip higher especially at these smaller places because I know it’s hard work, but the pricing was just so high as it was I couldn’t believe I was paying just about $100 at this random place. And then after all that the massage was just mediocre. I hate to even leave a review like this, I come from an immigrant family and I know how hard it is to make a living. I really wish the best for the owner but there’s no way she’ll be in business long if she keeps this up. Lower your prices and people will actually usually tip higher without you demanding it! And don’t charge more for harder pressure, deep tissue is different but a standard 1 hour massage should include the preferred pressure without an up charge. Good luck, I hope this review is helpful!
According to Traditional Thai massage this seemed culturally accurate. She had strong hands and would do repetitive linear strokes down the muscles. She doesn't understand a lot of English. Personally this wasn't what I was looking for, I prefer professional yoga/Thai massage. Because she couldn't communicate much there were no American style courtesies and I was very uncomfortable as this style was foreign to me. She charges $40 for half hour with at least $10 expected tip, $60 for full hour with I think $15 or $20 expected tip.
Mae is awesome. Place looks sketchy but they’re legit! $60 for one hour full body massage. It’s like deep tissue with stretching. They can barely speak English so be prepared to feel kind of confused the first time. But so worth it! Btw, you do payment first. There’s a card fee.
Terrible spot, wish I never went there. On the middle of traveling and had really sore spots, this is the only place available. Asked for pre payment. Got a gentle rub, when I asked for pressure she showed me a chart of double price. At the end I was asked for a "mandatory" tip, lol. I normally would have tipped anyway, despite hating the joint, but this was even worse.
It’s really amazing Good place for massage I suggest everyone to visit there They are so nice and friendly.😊😊
