I had a very similar experience as M. Graham. No oil, no lotion. She has a vinyl glove on one hand the entire time. Once I was flipped over, I noticed she just watches the clock till time is up. Tipped $10 on a $40 30min massage and she was upset... lucky I tipped anything for one of the worse massage experiences I've ever had.

One of the worst massage experiences! I called beforehand to make sure they could accommodate me. I arrived on time and was told that I had to pay BEFORE my massage in CASH. Luckily I had enough - the technician just stood there and watched me look for cash in my purse. I gave her $50 and asked for my change back. I had to ask again for my change - why would I also tip in advance? She reluctantly gave it back to me. When I was shown to the massage room - I was given no instructions or asked any questions. So I offered up focus areas. During the massage, no oil or lotion was used - but h there clearly had them available for usage. There was minimal attention to where there were obvious knots and tight muscles. She did use her knees on my back - which I found odd given the tightness. Twice during the massage she left the room. The last time, the front door opened and the technician came back saying ‘all done’. There was no wind down of the massage, just an abrupt ending with her return to the room. I was then offered water and asked for a tip. The ambience wasn’t even relaxing - even considering it’s a small massage business. Honestly this is worth two stars but since it’s a small business - I won’t fully downgrade.
