longtengbodywork.wixsite.com/10025Came here to soothe a sport skydiving injury in my back, Not only did Liza listen to my picky customer requests, but she went above and beyond and this was proper body work. My issue resolved itself, and I booked a follow up appointment 10 days later just to see the contrast! Wow! This is a new york city hack!!
Have been going to this place for 4 years now-- never had a bad massage. I am not always sure about what is going on since I can't see while they're massaging, but I think they have walked on my back and used their knees ... whatever they do, I leave feeling amazing. It is a very clean space and very calming with relaxing music playing. You can sometimes hear the other massages going on, and the curtains that separate the massage areas could probably be a bit wider, but it has never been too much of an issue for me. They have a rewards card where you get 10 massages (which they write on your card), and after you fill up the card you get a free massage with a value that equals the average of the 10 you paid for. With the pandemic going on they take your temperature as soon as you walk in, and sign a form with your information and an attestation that you haven't had COVID symptoms.
Will not be returning. My wife and I scheduled a couples massage. They took my wife first and me 10mins later. Already not off to a great start. The massage was awful and clearly the masseuse was not trained at all. Halfway through my massage my masseuse stepped out and a completely different masseuse came in to finish. Completely unprofessional and the replacement masseuse was worse! I thought maybe I had a string of bad luck but my wife also said she had a terrible experience. Her masseuse stood on her back and with the knuckles of her feet jumped to crack her back. This was wild..
Had a wonderful & relaxing massage. Fully recommended for muscle pain relief & good Chi.
Don’t walk - run the other way. I had such a negative experience here that I want the community to be aware. I am concerned that the therapists are not properly trained, not taking feedback and might injure others like they hurt me. 1) First of all, the massage started with a heavy blanket over me - I told the therapist multiple times to please take it off since it is too hot (it was a 90-degree day out). She needed to listen to me as it is very possible to get heatstroke from overheating during a massage. 2) The therapist dug in repeatedly with her elbows. She used hot stones at the end - hot stones are great but why not use them at the beginning to actually loosen up the muscles? 3) At the end, she started PUNCHING ME IN THE HEAD. I immediately stopped her but had already been hit twice. Hitting someone in the head is not acceptable under ANY circumstances. I had previously asked her to stop punching my back. This is common sense stuff and I see zero benefit to using this very harmful “technique.” 4) It took multiple requests to get her to massage my face and head gently at the end, and even then it was pretty rough. 5) I wanted to give some feedback to the therapist and owner after the massage (specifically about the head-punching because I was shaken up from the experience) but the therapist just yelled at me. I just left as quickly as I could. I required medical treatment to deal with tension headaches in this aftermath of this ordeal.
