Went there for a special and was excited to possibly find something close to me for massages and possibly acupuncture. I don’t know if I came on an off day or something but the experience was quite stressful although the massage was ok. We opted for the 75 minute body massage. (Lasted 70 mins but did go through everything). Starting off it was clear that this was going to be a no frills experience. The smell was a bit musty and there was no real privacy as the attendant opened the curtain while we were disrobing and as people were walking by. There were no questions about injuries or gender preference so if that’s relevant, make sure you make it known to them proactively. For me it wasn’t really that big of a deal and I figured I’d let them know as they were doing it if they were going too hard. As we started some random lady was shouting in Chinese for a good 10 minutes and though it eventually stopped, we would get interrupted now and then by some shouting. They also decided to leave the bright fluorescent white lights on which I thought was weird for the first half but then turned it off later during the session. However the noise interruptions were throughout and I think at one point there was another customer loudly talking about going to the bathroom and then accidentally walked into our room while we were there. The massage itself was actually not so bad. There were little nits I could complain about but it was on par with what I was expecting at the price range. The stones at the end were also surprisingly comforting as well. Given this experience I thought a 25% tip was more than adequate but somehow they seemed a bit disappointed! I think the best way to approach this is thus. If you’re coming here to relax, you made a mistake but if you’re following up on some back knots and want a convenient and relatively cheap option and the place is nearby, maybe it’s worth considering.

I've visited this place a few times and usually have a decent experience, primarily because I request Max, who is excellent. Unfortunately, he was busy with another guest during my last visit. I opted for a 30-minute foot massage, but the therapist had very sharp nails and was quite rough, making the experience uncomfortable. I hoped it would improve, but it only got worse, and I found myself just waiting for it to end. When I mentioned my concerns to the front desk, the staff were dismissive and even laughed in my face instead of offering an apology. This experience left me very disappointed, and I won’t be returning.

Great no frills massage experience. I find if you call in advance you'll get a better masseuse, but everyone there I've had is great. And remember to tip! They work hard!

Came here for a foot massage and should have just done one service. I added the 30 min back massage, but I had a terrible experience entirely. I had to tell Lisa three times she was too rough. She kept adding pressure on her thumb when she was working, so a lot of the time I felt like I was being kneaded and pinched. When my back massage was done, I felt I had pain I didn’t have before visiting. I was going to leave a 20% tip for the service (which is a lot considering I was unsatisfied), but when I gave her the bills she expressed discontent at the amount. I wasn’t going to argue and gave her an additional $5. I’m not coming back.

First time at the soho location - used to go to the one on the UWS. Service was great and my masseuse kept checking in with me to make sure the pressure was to my liking. This place isn't luxury but it's efficient and the practitioners are attentive and you can't beat the prices.
