www.richmondserenityspa.comI’ll be honest I was a little nervous going in after reading so many horrendous reviews but overall I had a decent facial and want to debunk some the comments I saw on here. 1. Professionalism - I thought my facialist was very sweet, made sure I was okay throughout the facial, and was never once rude. 2. Payment - They take cash or credit card and there was no issue that I paid with credit card. 3. Prices / Expectations -A couple things here, it’s true that the prices are not the same on their site. However, they do have a brochure that she referenced when I asked at the beginning of the appointment on the services and prices. It’s $10 more than what their site says so it’s not dramatic but definitely something that would be good to change on their part. Lastly, I love facials and I try to find reasonably priced facials. From my research, SF offers starting prices at $150-$200 without tip and today I didn’t want to spend that much so I did seek out a cheaper option. I believe they start at $90 for the basic European but I went with a higher priced option for $110. I wasn’t expecting any frills or a relaxing “escape” but a decent cleaning of my face. 4. Quality - I definitely felt she put in the works - it wasn’t the gentlest facial I’ve received but I definitely think she performed a good lymphatic drainage to my face. And I will say she cleaned out my black heads - again it wasn’t gentle but I care more for effectiveness. I did not have blotches afterwards either so again, it was effective and not damaging. If I lived near by this place I would probably go back but the back and forth Ubers don’t make it cost effective. I did want to get on here to say she was professional, kind, and accepted my credit card without an attitude :)
I had a strange experience here. It was unclear which sheet to get under in the bed, so I went under the lowest one. When the massage therapist returned to the room, she had me get up in front of her with hardly any clothes on - she was holding a small blanket up, but stayed in the room. I asked for a Swedish massage, but she gave me a deep tissue massage (which costs more) and knelt on the massage table between my legs at times. Despite the strange introduction to the appointment, I tipped her 17%. She watched as I wrote the tip, and then asked I tip more because she gave me partly deep tissue, which wasn't a massage I even asked for in the first place. I gave her two extra dollars, but I will not be coming again. The massage was good in itself, but I did not feel very safe here.
Like other reviewers have written, totally disorganized, didn't write down our appointment, didn't have anyone when we showed up. I think this is store is a front, not a real business. There is no way anyone can be this disorganized and stay in business. Stay away from this place!
This is my new Massage Place!!! If I could go above 5 stars I would. I’ve already booked an appointment for the next month and with the amazing night of sleep I’m about to have, I’ll probably start making monthly appointments. I got the deep tissue massage and my massage technician was super sensitive to my knots and areas that were a bit more sore or sensitive. She was also the sweetest! I’ve had numerous broken bones and surgeries and the pressure was perfect and fluctuated depending on the area. I spend all day standing and looking down at a computer, she worked out all the kinks and knots in my calves and neck that I didn’t even know I had. The room was the perfect warm and cozy temperature and you get to choose your essential oil sent!! This place did a wonderful job being covid responsible and were very respectful. Love my massage and feel amazing! Thank you thank you!
I got the youth facial from here and though the massage and experience was quite relaxing and nice, I was unimpressed by the high price to which a 20% tip is sort of forcefully added. 140 bucks for a facial at a regular place like that is insane.
