taosanctuaryspa.wixsite.com/33607I had been dealing with a pretty severe version of cervical radiculopathy. I recently took my son to International Plaza to shop and spotted Tao Sanctuary. I like that they had options for incremental massage chair options. So I opted for the 20 minute chair massage which basically focuses on neck, shoulder, and back. Man it was worth it! I prefer a heavier hand and the gentleman whose name escapes me did not disappoint. After the 20 minutes I had that woozy feeling indicating a lot of toxins had been released. They kindly gave me a bottle of complimentary water. And I was on my way feeling a little better. About a week later I returned for another session. Well worth it.
Absolute rip off. They charged me full price for half of the service and then bullied me into giving a tip. I asked for their 40 minute foot reflexology. In the description it lists a sea salt foot soak, hot stones and head, neck and back massage. I was given a lousy foot rub for 35 minutes and then rushed a hot stone massage for the remainder. When it came time to pay, I made it a point to mention I didn’t receive the head neck and back massage. The massage therapist said “sorry, next time” what?? there will definitely not be a next time! I would question the legitimacy of this business. They do not even make you sign any type of waiver and the massage did not feel like it was given from a licensed professional.
We needed a last-minute massage, and Tao Sanctuary was the only place that could fit us in. We opted for a 90-minute couples massage, and given the price, we figured we'd give it a shot. Wow, were we impressed! It turned out to be one of the best massages I've ever had. My neck pain was significantly reduced, and I felt completely relaxed. Don’t let the fact that it’s located in a mall fool you—it's quiet, peaceful, and incredibly soothing inside. The staff were highly skilled and friendly. Highly recommend!
Out of the 20 years of getting massages it was by far the worst I’ve ever had. I caught him on his phone at least two times during my massage so I should’ve just gotten up and walked away then. He worked on the same area over and over and over and over while sitting on the bed with me because he was lazy and just using his elbow so he could read his phone with the other hand. Then he proceeded to massage my hip bone, which did nothing but irritate me. I don’t need my bones massaged just my muscles. I would not recommend this place at all
I stopped by to get a spa package for a Swedish massage and a basic facial, and I highly recommend this place. The owner is great. He made sure that the pressure was just right and my neck and shoulders feel so much better. Lucy did my facial. In my opinion, the product is totally irrelevant once you tried her techniques. I feel like I could totally live there.
