The ladies that work here are so sweet, the place is clean and cozy. I went for a couples massage and it was amazing, I felt so relaxed when it ended and I definitely will be coming back for more massages.

I'm not sure if the bad reviews here about the tip is intended for the place across the street because today I went to both Ming Spa and the place across the street and Ming Spa ladies were nothing but lovely. They didn't demand any specific amount of tips and the prices are much reasonable. The other places across the street on the other hand was very demanding about the tip. That is why I walked out of there and went to Ming Spa afterwards. Will definitely come back to Ming Spa and I stand by this review.

Fantastic massage...great hot stones, they leave on for a while. While strong pressure is applied so be prepared to hurt later on...they really get the knots out and loosen up the whole body. The only reason I can't rate 5 stars is the sneaky behavior of the owner manager who tried to keep the extra $5...as 60 minutes is $55 and I gave her 3 twenty dollar bills. FYI...I gave the massage girl a very nice tip. No funny business here, straight up massage.

The massage I received was good (though my masseuse kept leaving the room to talk to her colleague) but I will NEVER go back to Ming Spa again. Specifically because of the lady at the front desk who demanded a specific tip that I was not comfortable giving. I gave $20 and wanted change to tip and she took the tip she felt she deserved vs giving me change and letting me the customer decide. There are too many other great massage places in nyc (let alone on 72nd street) to put up with this aggressive behavior. P.S. wish I would have read reviews earlier as others have had this same exact experience. So much for trying to get better.

I booked a couples massage for my husband and I. We had completely different experiences. He loved his massaged. I was in pain the entire time just waiting for the massage to be over. I think the person who was doing my massage was not skilled or even understood which areas to rub. He was going over my spine with his elbow. I am still in pain two days later. It doesn't feel like the normal pain of a deep tissue massage. This feels like I was bruised everywhere. I tried to communicate during the massage but he didn't understand what I was saying. His partner had to explain to him a few times in their language. Husband said he felt amazing after. His person did a much better job. She worked the areas that he needed. He said she used good techniques. So altogether, it was a mixed experience.
