Baby when I tell you!!! I feel sooooooo good. She massaged tissues i didn't even know could be massaged. I'm sure she tenderized the meat between my ribs! There was a moment when she massaged my neck that I felt like I was cheating because I was this close 🤏🏾 to asking her to marry me! Highly recommend! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!
My first and last time at this establishment. I asked for deep tissue and was essentially greased up and caressed for the entirety of the session. I asked for more pressure and got the same result. Then when it came time to pay, I was asked to pay in cash to which I didn't have on-hand, so was encouraged to use their ATM which only spat out half of what I asked for due to it being empty. I incurred an ATM charge for money I didn't want to withdraw in the first place, forcing them to accept processing my credit card which included another charge. Then I added the tip and apparently it wasn't enough because the "massage therapist" chased me down to my car and demanded I give more. I began to explain why I felt the amount I gave was fair and how I wasn't happy now being on the other side of the service, and all she could reply is that I had cash in-hand now to add to the tip. I begrudgingly did so knowing I will never come back to this place nor recommend it. Short Life Massage is a better suited name for this place - no thanks.
This place is a hidden GEM. Massages are consistently amazing and thorough. Price is superb, and the rooms are always clean. I did stop going for a while because of the answering of the door and phone by my therapist, but after voicing my concern she has only once done it again. I get it- they are a small staff and seem to be busy with walkins. I appreciated that they listen to my requests for no interruptions, and while yes you can hear what is going on around you- you could always bring headphones. I've tried going in the afternoon, evening, and morning. Early morning seems to be less noisy/busy. Layla is very dedicated to her craft and it would be a shame for you not to visit Long Life. Those complaining about tipping obviously don't value their skill. As a therapist and a person who has received many massages by a variety of people- I can assure you that their massages are underpriced so tipping at least 20% is VERY reasonable. Period.
They've unfortunately soiled their own good name. Price for a 1 hour massage is $70, which has increased over the years, but OK. Well, at check out, after tipping $25 on two massages for my girlfriend and myself, she scoffed/laughed and held up a sign that said the suggested tip was 20 percent. Look, I don't know who needs to tell them this, but tip is subjective, and everyone will tip differently. If you want to standardize the price you ultimately receive, you need to just raise your price. What this resulted in was an embarrassing exchange that killed the very relaxed mood we were in. It's really sad because I think they do a good job but this ain't it. I won't go again.
This place is the best. Extremely professional and clean. I had lower back pain, my therapist knew exactly where the isolated pain was. Very good massage. I’ll definitely be back.
