Very warm comfy private room with relaxing background music and pleasant aromas. The massage was not full body as requested, the hands and feet were skipped. The therapist was pleasant and accommodating otherwise. Overall great massage.

I've had many massages in my life from on the beach in Cancun to Turning Stone resort in NY to just a friend who was studying to be a masseuse, and I have to say this was the second best massage I have ever had. She worked from soft relaxing strokes to hard pressure where she actually stood on the side of the table and used her body weight to work out the knots. I'm not talking about walking on me either, because I've had that done before too. But, leaning over and pressing and pushing with her body weight behind her. She pulled and popped joints, fingers, toes, neck and so on. It was a great mix of hard firm pressure then soft relaxing pressure. I left there and wanted to go take a nap in my vehicle. I went in stressed out beyond belief and left there feeling like a million bucks. I will most definitely be back again.

It was a Monday and I had an unexpected day off from work. I decided on a last minute whim to see if I could get in anywhere for a massage in order to deal with anxiety and chronic body tension. Every studio in the area was booked and I couldn't get an appointment anywhere.I happened across this little gem of a place looking for any place that would be willing to do a walk in appointment through a Google search. On the company website Smile Spa was the ONLY establishment that welcomed walk ins that I could find. I called and sure enough they told me that they could help me and wanted to know the time of arrival. I told the masseuse that I could be there by 6pm as I was coming from Albany. It turned out that I over estimated my travel time and got there by 5:30. This was not a problem in the least. The masseuse took me right in and got to work right away. The establisment was very modest and small and deals only in cash as far as I could tell. Being in a tiny little strip mall, dimly lit and the masseuse being the only person on the premises...I got a bit nervous and thought that I had perhaps fallen into something unsavory. I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG! The cost of the massage was way below what the masseuse was worth. So PLEASE do not be put off by the quaint presentation of the place. The masseuse was surprisingly strong for such a small woman and she ended up being able to work knots out of my back that other professionals had not been able to break up. If the massage wasn't enough, the masseuse also added some finger, shoulder, knee and hip cracking into the mix. Her technique made it very obvious that she was very knowledgeable with regards to how manipulate the body to break up blockages and loosen up joints. The massage I received was clearly not being done by somebody who just took some vocational course on massage, but was done by a woman who had a world class knowledge and technique of the art. After the session was over I couldn't help but tip her an additional 20 dollars because I sincerely feel like her skill was worth far more than she charged. If you want a REAL massage go the Smile Spa! I will be returning!
