I don’t ever leave a bad review for a business unless they made me feel disrespected and disregarded as a customer. I enter the business to be rushed in a room without being shown a menu, we agree on the length and I disrobe, was left there for 5 minutes just to told I have to get dressed to come to the front and pay because maybe my type of person would try to skip out on the bill at the end. I understand they may have experienced that before, but I’ve never been asked to pay for a massage beforehand, from any therapist in multiple cities and countries. I hate to complain but that made me feel I should take my business elsewhere.
Beware of This Scammy Business – Stay Away! I recently visited this place for a massage while in the neighborhood, and the experience was terrible from start to finish. Initially, they told me the price was $80/hour, which seemed reasonable. Right before starting the session, the lady asked if I wanted two masseurs. Confused, I declined. When the massage began, two ladies entered the room and asked again if I wanted a “4-hands massage.” I jokingly asked the cost, and they replied $150. I told them it was too expensive, and the second lady left. The massage began and was okay for about 15 minutes. Then, without any warning, the masseuse started walking on my back! It was extremely uncomfortable, and I had to ask her to stop immediately. This is not the behavior of trained or professional massage therapists. To make matters worse, at the end of the session, the masseuse demanded a $60 tip for an $80 service! I regret wasting my time and money here. Their practices are unprofessional, and the staff is pushy and misleading. If I could give a 0-star rating, I would. Save your health, money, and time—stay far away from this business!
Unfriendly and unprofessional staff. The front desk lady made me feel really uncomfortable after interrupting my massage midway to ask for payment. I got the feeling like they were doing under the table work and I was in the wrong place. I decided to end my session early.
A friend told me about Ivy massage on Cheshire Bridge Rd in Atlanta. At first I was a little hesitant about going to Cheshire Bridge. But I found it to be in a very safe upscale business plaza. I entered and was greeted by a very lovely Chinese woman. She explained the service offered and rates, very well spoken. I was ushered to a private room, the place was impeccably clean and odor free. No cooking smells. I prepared myself and the massage therapist returned rather quickly. I am in my mid 50's and my legs need a vigorous massaging at least once a week. From all of the walking and standing I do on a daily basis. This therapist was so unselfish and concerned about making sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. She did not hurry and did not hold her hand out for a tip at completion of the service. I will be a regular. Sincerely Mac!!
I have chronic lower back problems. I need help several times each year when it flames up. Those of you who have this know exactly what I mean. Recently, I went to Ivy when I popped my low back. If you have had back problems, you know sometimes the massage will relieve pain and other times make it worst. I have had two therapists at Ivy and both did a great job to reduce the pain and inflammation. Both did a good job with traditional massage and back walking. Annie, the manager does a great job to triage the nature of the pain and insured the therapist will focus on your wellbeing. I have been to many places for this treatment, and can say the Ivy League are true professionals.
