A friend of mine came in Sunny Sunflower Spa (on Thursday: 2/15/24) for what she thought was going to be a professional massage. She had a male worker who was VERY inappropriate with her. He got aroused during her massage and made it known by putting his private part in her hand. He also put his face next to hers, & wanted to continue the massage even after the timer went off to stop. After the massage was over he complimented her body. After her visit, I checked the reviews to see if anyone else had a similar experience. I did read about a similar experience with a male worker name George... This is highly unprofessional and disgusting. She did not ask for that kind of treatment. Customers are clearly being taken advantage of! This should not be happening. Period!
There are many good things here, and I would give 5 stars, but something very bothersome is that the masseuse "S" keeps asking for more tips, when I am giving her twice as much tip as I give at other places, where they accept my tips without any complaints. I was considering becoming a regular, but am upset because of this "more tip" requests and also, she asks strange inappropriate personal questions, so I am not so sure about becoming a regular customer any more. If she learns that the quickest way to lose a customer, and to prevent them from returning is to ask for more tips, and that she must stop the "tip" talk if she wants to retain her customers, then I would consider going there more. I will see. Update. she "S" never learned her lesson. Last time, again, after I paid her twice the tip I pay other places, she said she is hungry. Would I give her a little bit of money for her lunch! Truly low class beggar. Also, the massage is very amateur. I never even bothered to ask for hot stones lest she will ask for more money. Money hog
AVOID AT ALL COST. George is a predator that took advantage of me during my massage when most vulnerable. He stands in a way that his ''member" is in your hand during the service. Even when moving away to avoid what was happening, he held down my wrist in place. He is in leadership at this business and that this is happening, I'm concerned what else may be. I've confirmed with the city that they do not have a licensed to practice.
Update Oct 2023: I have been coming to Sunny Sunflower for years and yesterday it was different. The signage and pamphlets were gone and the staff had changed. The massage wasn’t good and felt like a waste. I don’t think I’ll go back. Original review 2020/2021: I’ve had several massages here from probably almost all the employees and all of them were good. When I have specific tight areas, I tell them at the beginning and they work on it intensely until it feels better. Even when I don’t mention a specific area, I think they feel the right areas and will put a little extra time into them. If you don’t specify and they do whole body, they won’t always do your feet, so if you want that, be sure to ask. Also, it’s good to specify if you want harder or softer pressure. The rooms are only separated by curtains so you can hear if people are talking or if there is honking on the street, but for such a great price and massage, I don’t mind at all. Sometimes if all the beds are taken and they receive a call, your massage therapist may need to step out to answer briefly; this has happened to me a few times, but she always makes up for the time spent on the phone by going over.
Went for a 90 minute massage. Masseuse was disinterested, distracted. Left the room multiple times. Was talking to someone either in the other room or who walked in (I couldn’t tell with my face buried). If the latter, it was kind of unsettling considering my state of dress. She didn’t listen to or care about areas of the body I was having trouble with/needed work on. I wasnt given a choice regarding pressure of massage type. She spent about 20 to 30 minutes not really massaging me but basically rubbing lotion on my chest and face. I’d rank this in the bottom half of massages I’ve received. I didn’t walk out feeling any better than when I came in. Despite this I gave her a $10 tip, which didnt warrant a thank you and seemed to disappoint.
